You may have noticed that for a short period after you restart (or reboot) your phone, your locked applications can be opened without a password. This is expected behavior, and this article explains why it happens and how you can secure your apps immediately.
Why This Happens: An Android System Delay
This is not a bug in AppLock, but is caused by the way the Android operating system is designed.
To ensure your phone starts up as quickly as possible, Android intentionally delays the start of background services for many third-party apps, including AppLock. This can create a brief window of time (sometimes several minutes) where our security service has not yet been started by the system, leaving your apps temporarily unprotected.
The Solution: How to Secure Your Apps Instantly
There is a very simple and immediate workaround to close this security window.
After restarting your phone, simply open the AppLock app one time.
This single action manually starts the protection service, and all of your locked applications will be secured right away. This is the best practice to ensure your phone is secure immediately after a reboot, especially if you plan on handing it to someone else.
