Sometimes, especially after installing a new app, an application you want to protect might not immediately appear in the AppLock list. This guide provides the steps to solve this.
Solution #1: Refresh the App List (For Most Apps)
Most of the time, the app list simply needs a manual refresh to detect newly installed applications.
- Close out your AppLock application and restart to see if the app has been added.
- If not, clear the cache for AppLock as well as the data.
- AppLock will re-scan your device for all installed applications.
After the refresh is complete, scroll through the list again. In most cases, the app you are looking for will now be visible and available to lock.
Solution #2: For Missing Social Media Apps (Known Bug)
We are aware of a known bug that can sometimes prevent major social media apps (like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.) from appearing in the list for some users.
Our development team is actively working on a permanent solution for this. The "pull-to-refresh" method described above can sometimes help, but may not always work for this specific issue.
If you have tried refreshing the list and your app is still missing, please know that this is a priority for us to fix in a future update. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
